Today I’ll discuss discount brokers and what you need to know about them. The number one thing I want to tell you is that it’s not worth it to use discount brokers because there’s no incentive for the buyer’s agents to show your home.
I met with a seller two weeks ago who had used a discount broker. Everything was going well until a few weeks later when they received no offers. Then I showed them our marketing plan and explained what the incentive means for the buyer’s agents. The agent will only get half of the commission because the other half goes to the broker.

We offer and pay up to a $10,000 bonus for these agents to win. Buyer’s agents will spend more time in your home. Once we go under contract, there are so many things that could go wrong. With an incentive, the buyer’s agent will keep that buyer in check and make sure they’re getting everything done on time.
